OK Go – Last Leaf

This is the video for the band OK Go's song Last Leaf.
It is a stop-motion film which uses laser burnt toast to create animated images.
These images use metamorphosis to transform between different pictures and scenes, for example, trees transforming into guitars.
The video was shot at 15 frames per second, so the movements are not completely fluid, but this does provide a nice 'home-made' effect, which also relates to the materials being of just toast.
This short stop-motion used 2430 pieces of toast from 215 stale loaves of bread.
I like this stop-motion music video, and feel that the simplicity of the idea of using toast as the creative materials relates well to the simplicity of the song, which is a short acoustic ballad. I think that the use of toast was a really creative idea which would appeal to many audiences, as it is a symbol of home and the everyday, which is something almost everyone experiences.
